What is your Parenting Style

The best way to bring up a child is the way you are bringing them up.

No one can bring up your child the way you do. You directly connect with the child, you bond with them, you are the parent, so you are the best. A parent actually knows what the child requires and knows how to handle the situation the best possible way.

What others can do is just give suggestion.
ज्ञान ... ज्ञान ... ज्ञान।
I am here to help you out to identify the style of parenting that you are adopting in relation with  the colour you have chosen.

 RED COLOUR: STRICT PARENT

You are the one who is very bossy when it comes to parenting. You want your child to follow discipline & mannerism to the max. You don’t give them opportunities for freedom. Kids who are bought up by these parents are usually disciplined and punctual.

They know what is expected out of them and they successfully achieve so. So being a parent like you is not bad but sometimes kids develop insecurity in your presence and try to hide their views, feelings, emotions with you.

YELLOW COLOUR: RESTRICTIVE PARENT

You are the one whose favorite word is ‘NO.’ Whatever is being asked your answer is always ‘NO.’ You restrict your kids so much that gradually your kids will stop taking permissions from you. It is found that kids bought up by these parents have lots of secrets. It is good to be strict but not all the time.

BLUE COLOUR: LAZY PARENT

If this is your colour, you are a lazy parent. It’s not good to be lazy as a parent but for kids it is a beneficiary point. During early ages they might find it very irritating having a parent like you as compared to their friend’s active parent but in the long run these kids are more matured as compared to others.

Your kids have developed the practice of doing work all by themselves which has developed their analytical and logical thinking at the very early stage of life.

So being lazy is not bad all the time.

BLACK COLOUR: DISCOURAGING PARENT

You are never happy with what your child is doing, no matter how hard he has tried to do so. You always keep comparing them with other kids and as a result lower down their self-esteem.

Kids always look upon their parents for motivation. I am not asking you to throw a party for all their achievements be it small or big but we can atleast appraise them for the same, even a smile on your face works wonders.

GREEN COLOUR: ACTIVE PARENT

You are continuously on a go. You never take rest as a result you tend to get irritated a number of times. It is suggested for you to take some rest. Have some space for yourself and also give kids their own space. Get out of the same monotonous life. Involve your family and kids in sharing your work.

WHITE COLOUR: UNDERSTANDING PARENT

White stands for peace. Same is your parenting style. You are very understanding. You don’t jump to conclusions. You hear both the parties. This result in high level of trust in your relationship.

This is a good practice, please continue. But do keep an eye on your kids as they may tend to lie because of the trust you have on them. Always maintain a balance between supporting and scolding a child.

PURPLE COLOUR: POKING PARENT

Usage of Who? Why? When? Where? How? all the time makes you a poking parent. These questions may not bother the child when they are young but with time they may be a matter of concern. Poking too much in child’s life is not good. It is never too late, there is still time, improve your relation with the child.

ORANGE COLOUR: ENCOURAGING PARENT

You are an encouraging parent. You like the little efforts put in by your kids. For kids you are the role model so adopting this style of parenting is a good choice. Keep encouraging them, this will help boost their self-esteem and develop as a successful personality.

Do remember appreciating kids is a good habit but too much of anything is bad.

GREY COLOUR: SOCIAL MEDIA PARENT

You are a socialite. You are an attention seeker. I am sure you have chosen the colour so that you could post it on social media.  You often click selfies and pics of your kids to post on the social media and grab likes and comments. There are possibilities that you have clicks of each and every poses of your child. They are good memories.

For your kids there are two possibilities, they could be more social than what you are or develop a hatred for the same. It is good to maintain a balance. There is no need to update each and every growth progress of your child.

PINK COLOUR: ALWAYS AGREE PARENT

You are the parent who never likes to say ‘NO’ to your kids. Your kids are very lucky to have you as a parent. You agree to each and everything your child asks or demands, no matter what ever is the consequence.

But do you think this style of parenting is good for your child’s future? They don’t have the habit of hearing ‘NO’. Just think.

According to me for a good parenting style you must not stick to one specific colour. There are pros and cones for each of them. It is good to have a colourful life, it's never too late.

Do you find the colour chosen by you matches your personality? If ‘YES’ give a 👍
