After the 4th
phase of corona battle plan government cannot keep on further extending the
lockdown as our economy is severely affected. Further being a pathogenic virus,
vaccine for the same is not yet developed.
Fact File:
- We cannot kill the virus in our body.
- There is no antibiotic yet developed to kill this deadly virus.
- Even if it is developed it will take few more months for its mass production and availability in the market.
- Doctors are trying to control body temperature and lung tissue inflammation so as to fight against the pandemic disease. Moreover they use ventilators to force oxygen in the body.
- Good news is - Virus has a life cycle in the host body and after which it extinguishes.
So to sum it up we cannot
escape from the situation, we have to learn to live with the virus following
the precautionary measures at least for coming 3-4 months.
With increasing corona
patients day-by-day, the risk of getting infected is increasing, for which
Indian Government has recommended following course of action:
- Social distancing, self hygiene, wash & disinfect, stick to no touch policy only Namaste and avoid spitting in public places is all drilled in our mind long ago.
- Regular and widespread of use of mask. Don’t step out of your house without a face covering. Try using homemade mask rather than surgical ones. Let’s keep them available for corona warriors and corona positive patients.
- According to recent research Plasma Therapy has a potentially promising therapy for treating the virus. In this successfully recovered patients are requested to donate blood every fortnight. A single donor of plasma can save 2 patients.
- High risk groups must be safeguarded. This includes people above 60 years, people with health complications, pregnant women and children below 10 years.
- Respiratory precautions must be given importance. Practising yoga and exercises daily would help you achieve this.
- Regular checkups is recommended if you self diagnose any of the symptom like fever, dry cough, sore throat, difficulty in breathing or unusual fatigue you must consult a doctor and keep virus at bay.

Protocol to be followed before
entering the house:
- Don’t touch anything.
- Use a tissue paper to turn on door knobs.
- Use toothpicks to press lift buttons.
- Leave purse, key, wallet at the nearest entry point of your house.
- Wash your hand atleast for 20 seconds.
- Change your clothes and place them in laundry bags.
- Wash all exposed body parts or take a hair bath.
- Wash and disinfect all mobile phones and grocery bags with bleach solution.
