play CARD HOUSIE
Yes,
you heard it correct Card Housie.
To
play this we are not going to use any housie tokens or same old ticket but we
are going to create our own lucky ticket. Agreed, a bit hard work required but
I am sure it’s going to be fun. You are going to love it.

Just
draw this outline on a sheet of paper. Then fill each square’s with random
numbers raging from 1-13 wherein the following numbers will be written as:
1 – as ‘A’
11 – as ‘J’
12 – as ‘Q’
13 – as ‘K’
Now your ticket should look somewhat like this.
11 – as ‘J’
12 – as ‘Q’
13 – as ‘K’

How to play?
You
will be requiring a deck of cards to play this. Just shuffle the cards and keep
the pile in the centre. Instead of the housie tokens you will be raising out cards
one by one.
Just similar to housie whoever has that particular number in their ticket has to strike off and claim the decided dividends.
Important
thing to be noted:
You
have to not only match the number but also the shape i.e. if the card raised is
♠7 then you are supposed
to strike off number 7 in spades (♠) square only.
Taking about the dividends (prizes):

1. Early 5 – Player who is able to strike off any random 5
numbers on the ticket can claim for this dividend.
2. Outer Corner –
Player who is able to strike off the 4 numbers placed on the corners of the
outer most square can claim for this dividend.
3. Inner
corner – Same
goes with inner corner. Player who is able to strike off the 4 numbers placed
on the corners of the inner most square can claim for this dividend.
Note: Green circles represent Outer Corners
Blue
circles represent Inner Corners
4. ♠ Box – Player who
is able to strike off all the four numbers placed in the Spades ♠ Box can claim
for this dividend.
Same goes for Diamonds ♦, Club ♣ & Hearts ♥
5. ♦ Box
6. ♣ Box
7. ♥ Box
8. Jodi – Player who
is able to strike off ‘1 Jodi’ i.e. same numbers. Here number matters
not the shape. For example if the player is able to strike off two 7’s
in the ticket, be it of ♥, ♣, ♦, ♠ can
claim for the prize.
9. Lucky number –
It depends on the mutual decision of the players as to which number of card is
to be kept as lucky number card.
Example: If we have decided to keep 10th card
as the lucky number card then whichever number is being called out on that card
will be considered as the lucky number and players can claim for the prize.
10. Housie –
Finally the prize for which we all are playing i.e. Full Housie. Player who is
able to strike off all the numbers on the ticket can claim for this dividend.
It’s all up to your discretion how many
Housie you want to keep.
